Power steering issue...

My power steering is very rough and notchy. When I opened the reservoir, it looked like the fluid was boiling. It does have a slight burnt smell to it. The fluid looks like over-creamed coffee and is bubbly. Any ideas what may cause this?

then you're getting air in the lines somewhere. Are you losing fluid? Or is it just bubbling.
I'd say check all your lines for leaks. Are you getting any noise from your pump? If so, it might be on its way out. Also, check your p/s rack boots to see if there is fluid on them. If that's the case, your rack is dying and needs to be replaced.
Regardless, you should probably flush your p/s system and put clean fluid in as a precaution.

when you park, are there any spots of oil around? Most common spot for the leak is the loop which cools down the fluid up front (driver side fog light area). If it's sounding that bad, have the oil flushed and filled (with Pentosin CHS I believe).

This all started after I replaced my TB... Is it at all likely that I pinched a PS hose reinstalling the bumper? Any ideas are welcome. Thanks!
