I am thinking about going to a quarter wash place that has the power sprayers and washing the underside of my car and wheel wells etc w/ high pressure. Is there any damage short or long term that could be done, e.g. blasting away the anti corrosive on the underbody, etc?

All the underside is exposed to moisture anyway when you drive in the rain. And the undercoat is pretty sticky stuff, so you won't have a problem there.
Don't focus on the CV boots otherwise you can tear them. Don't blast away at your brakes and brake lines. Don't spray directly into your AC condensor or you'll bend the fins. That's about it.
I actually prefer to use a garden hose and engine degreaser myself. It's a little more gentle and cleans about as well.
