I want more air to the SMIC and I don't use my fog lights. One is actually building up condensation inside and the other took on a rock at speed, it looks like. If the fog light wasn't there, I have to wonder if it would have punched a hole in my IC. I've seen people on here run FMICs without any kind of grille, so I'm guessing they must be durable enough. Or do they make FMICs more durable since they sit in front of the radiator? I'll eventually get some older style grilles to take up the extra space in the fog light hole.

shouldn't be a problem. many ppl ndbw run their cars w/o their driver side grille

you won't feel any gains in performance but it shouldn't hurt anything.

although, I really feel that I'm fighting drag more than I'm experiencing heat soak. I left mine out because I was planning to pull the guts and lens from some fogs and use them to attach hoses for brake cooling...
