Problem with iPod/ICE Link/Dension
I tried searching and was not able to find my exact problem. I cannot seem to get my 2000 Symphony head unit to recognize my iPod. The iPod recognizes the ICE Link but I can't seem to get the CD Changer button to work. I worked through all the troubleshooting the booked offered. I also got a NO CDC when I hit preset 4 and the power button on my head unit. HELP.
Trying to get an RMA will not be fun, I imagine..
Thanks in advance. John

Pleease let me know... Yes I have ICE-Link Plus
Thanks for your help.
I'm planning on getting an RA# to return the item. Also, I'm looking to go to a stereo shop (Sound Effects on Rt 17) to have them check it out. Otherwise, my other recourse is to go to the City and have a guy there who's an official installer try to install it.

Follow up to earlier thread
Well, I FINALLY got in touch with Chase @ Dension. After walking through my little dilemma, he gave me an RMA # to return my ICE Link. According to him, the is probably "the culprit"
More to come.

Re: Tested mine tonight- everything works great.
If you're still offering - sure.
I'm stuck in exactly the same position as Jersey. I've installed it, and am pretty sure the connections are fine, but am stuck at the 'okay to disconnect' stage.
The only question I have right now (before calling Dension up) is where you put the ground wire. I put it on the back of the head unit on one of the two screws that hang off the back.
Otherwise, the thing looks great. I'd love to tell you it sounds good too, but no luck - yet!

Wish I could help you there. I have the trunk connection (More)
and it didn't come with a grounding wire. My suggestion would be to connect it to something metal that the HU connects to. But I imagine that should work. I would recommend getting in touch with Dension. I talked to a guy by the name of Chase. He's in advanced technical support. We walked through the trouble shooting list and a couple of other things and determined it's the ICE-Link.
FYI, there's another outfit I found out after-the-fact that makes a link for the iPod. It MIGHT be comparable to the ICE-Link, but it doesn't have a cradle.

http://www.neocaraudio.com</a

Do have ONE question....
Can you check something for me?
With the engine running, can you do the following steps?
1. Turn off head unit
2. Holding preset 4 down, turn on radio
3. Either NOCDC or CD CONNECT should appear
Can you tell me which one of #3 you receive? Thanks.
