Default Problem with oil pressure
I have a '96 A4 quatro. I have an oil light coming on problem. I've changed the oil, changed the oil pressure sending unit and checked the oil pressure using a mech gauge. The oil light comes on when the rpm reaches 1600 or higher but goes off when it drops below 1500. Any suggestions?

is it the light that means you are low in oil?

The oil has been changed and is at the correct level.

Wrong, That light means you're low on oil pressure not oil... You mught have serious sludge issues..
