Default Problems maintaining wheel balance - rear vibration

present at arount 80 mph since purchase of car at 30k miles. Wheel balancing will resolve the issue briefly, however after a week or two of driving, the shaking comes back. New tires and wheels have the same results. Any wear items in rear suspension to evaluate for wear or thoughts on this? Note, this is a fwd.

Default Check the rear brake rotors, and the wheel bearings. Check the rotors for high spots....

you can do this by jacking the car, and giving the wheel a spin. If it spins freely for it's full rotation, check the wheel for lateral play.. Grab the tire, and push/pull on the sides, and on the top and bottom. If you can move it more than just a very small amount, you may consider tightening the axle nut a little. Not too much. There does need to be a little play.

If the wheel does NOT spin freely around it's entire rotation, ie hits a high spot on the rotor, then that could be your vibration. Warped rotors can easliy casue a vibration felt throughout the car.

Good luck!
