So i pulled and resurfaced my audi v6 30v heads and put them on soon as i fired it up i have milky oil on my oil cap , my question is did i mabye torque them wrong ? I used this picture from alldata tho on some fourms its abit different
I used this sequence according to the side the chain is on so i fliped the picture to do the other head. Did i do it correctly?
Another guy stated to use copper spray on gasket ? He claims that to be my reason of fault in it not sealing , if it is not would it hurt it in any way to use it anyways ? Im using a three layer steel or metal gasket
And lastly i know its a two step torqur. 44 ft lbs then 1/2 turn i put 44lbs then 70lbs would that equal to the half turn or to much hence causing my leakage ? Thanks ! Btw i used new bolts n gaskets tomorrow im tearing the motor down again and use again new gaskets n bolts

The tightening diagram doesn't need to be followed exactly - just follow the basic idea of starting in the middle and alternating out toward the ends.
Per Audi, nothing goes on the gasket.
Bolts are torque to yield. 70 lbs means nothing. New bolts. 44 plus half a turn. I usually do 30, then 44, then a quarter turn, then another quarter turn.
Sounds like the heads were not torqued correctly. No good way to fix that other than buying new bolts and head gaskets and starting again.
Are you sure the block and heads are OK?
