I have recently replaced the brake pads on my 1998 audi A4 quattro. I also ground down the rotors. After putting everything bake together and bleeding the brakes i have come up with a problem. The brakes feel like they are pulsating and when the brakes are applied the pedal quickly goes forward and backward. Do my brakes need to be bled again or what is the deal?

Avoid the gimmicky "cross drilled or slotted" rotors.
You should be able to find a set of 4 for less than $150.
My rotors tended to last 2 brake pad changes. Never resurfaced them.

I Agree with 4Driver4 and AudiMick, don't turn the rotors. A friend who owned an independent shop had a brake lathe and turned customer's rotors, because that's what the customers expected to get. He wouldn't turn his own, just replace pads until the rotor needed to be changed.
