I just put a purge valve suction pump on my '96 Audi due to the other one had broke and the brakes wouldn't release so I bypassed it until I got the new part on. Once I put the new one on and drove down the road the brakes wouldn't release. When I took it back off there was a pop sound and you could hear the suction from the built up pressure and then the brakes released. Anyone have any ideas on what the isuue could be and how I can fix it?

I don't believe that the "suction pump" can cause brakes to stick on. I'd tend to think that would be caused by a fault in the power brake booster unit.
