Default Q:which car do better in skidpad? FWD or Q?

If both cars have OEM sports pkg,
Both cars are 1.8T..
Same tires....both car having same variables.
Which car will do better in skidpad?

My guess is FWD...(200lb lighter)

Good Q. The weight could be more than offset byt he better rear suspension on Quattro tho.

Hmm. Also, weight would help keep it down -- dunno that the 200 lbs will matter.

Default The weight won't help - it's negative. More momentum to overcome...

it makes the car want to go straight more = less grip.

Default I realize that -- but that should be countered by an exactly proportional increase in Normal force?

I mean, at least on paper, the weight always cancels for these sorts of things.
What do you think?

Default quattro...

...as the front tires begin to push, the acceleration demands of the skidpad will let the quattro car use its rear tires' traction to generate the linear acceleration, allowing more of the front tires' friction circles to be used for steering the car back on line (assumes a nose-heavy car, prone to understeer somewhat, like an Audi quattro).
