Qestions on how to get separate fog lights to work on older A4? (long)
I'm in the process of getting a new S4 front bumper to replace my old stock bumper ('97 A4), and I have some questions regarding the fog lights on the S4 bumper. Since older A4s (pre-99 model year) have fog lights integrated inside the headlights housing, I was wondering if can make the separate fog lights on the S4 bumper functional.
I mean, since older A4's wiring is different than that of newer A4's, what kind of modifications do I need to do to be able to use the separate fog lights? It doesn't really matter at the end whether or not I can still use the old fog lights inside the headlights as long as the separate fog lights on my new S4 front bumper are functional. Has anybody with older A4s ever done this fog lights mod thing? I'd appreciate it very much if anybody can assist me with this matter because I really need your help to get things done as soon as possible.
Thanks a lot in advance for any reply and comments.
Eric.

Of course you cane make it separate, you need two wires..
One is the lead, and the other is ground, from 97 when you look at the connector(at back of headlight ) there will be green/white wire that's your lead, and the brown that's your ground, ... disconnect green/white wire from connector or cut it which you will not need for headlight anymore, run new wire from fog to that wire, and do the same to ground but tap in to that brown wire don't cut it so your headlights still can work... and that's it... nothing to worry about... I did installed OEM fogs in the bumper to my 97 .. and they work fine..
