Default Quattro feel?

I just bought a 97 A4 2.8 Quattro... I was wondering if the 'grippy' feel that I get when I make sharp turns is normal or not. I have had 4WD trucks before, and I know that sometimes you get that sticky stuttery feel while making turns, I was just wondering if Quattro did the same thing - if not, any ideas what it could be? Thanks... this is my first time on here!

Default What do you mean by "grippy"?

Do you mean the car slides sideways and grabs at the road? Or do you mean how it holds tight on curves and doesn't slide? Please be more specific (overkill in the explanation would be good). Is this tire grip feel or engine HP feel?

there's no sliding... but it feels as if like with a 4wd truck if you try and turn too tightly it feels like a stutter... kind of like the tires are gripping too much since all wheels are gripping rather than just the front or rears... Only when I make sharp turns or swing in a tight circle will i feel it. Does this help? It certainly isn't sliding, it's holding very tightly...

yes, that's quattro - front wheels want to go in a different direction than rear wheels.

Thanks for description. Yes, Quattro AWD helps with coming out of corners.
