Default Quattro power f/r distribution?

Hi all,

I am curious about how quattro works.. Under normal driving condition, what is the power/tq distribution for Front / Rear?

is it 50/50 all time? or 30/70%? assume none of the wheels are slipping..

thanks

Default I belive that it is 50/50 all the time

because i have heard that other cars are sometimes 30/70, but i think on audi's it is 50/50

Default Does that mean

thanks for speedy replies

(1) does that mean all 4 tires wear about the same? or rears still wear out faster?

(2) how does 50/50 all time compares vs. variable like 50/50, 30/70, 10/90, 0/100 ?

Default Fronts will almost always wear faster in any car.

due to the fact they handle most of the braking and almost all of the steering too.

Default were you launching/burning out a lot?

with a bunch of power going to the rear wheels, it would make sense that the rears wear out faster. most cars will have the fronts go first

Default um.. nope... not really

i only drag once or twice with my supra tt.. 7 years of ownership..

supra tt just eats rear tires for lunch/dinner.. and breakfirst..
