Ok, does anyone know if there is a difference between Quattro and 4motion (since they're both VW products?) If so, what is the difference, and dare I ask... is one better than the other?

in the passat, the 4 motion system uses the same parts as the Quattro system in Audis.

Some don't consider the TT system to be the original quattro. But since they are audis they still call it Quattro.

There are arguments going back and forth on to which one is better. For safety and overall performance the A4 quattro is better. But I have heard for racing and such that people prefer the TT AWD system. Cause it can move power more easily from the front to back.

not true. VW uses Haldex AWD -- while the Audi A4/S4 uses the Torsen system
