I have a 98 audi A4 and my problem is this... I hate that stupid small mirror on the passanger side. I wanted to know if a normal sized passanger side mirror on a 99 or 2000 A4 would fit on my 98.

Yes, it will fit. But gimpy mirror adds character and euro flair.

well technically both will fit if you get the whole assembly (mirror base and housing) but the 99 is the only one which will actually match your driver's side. They changed the design of the mirrors in 99.5.

I got mine a while back on ebay brand new for $100. And recently I picked up a pair of mirrors off a 2000 on ebay for $140 to mount my polished mirror housings (I found out the hard way that the 96-99 mirrors have totally different mounting points for the housings.

well thanks for the answer on the mirrors, I also wanted to know if anyone has any idea why I would be getting a beeping that sounds like it's coming out of the speekers. Its goes like
(beep, beep)...(beep, beep)...(beep, beep) when i turn the car off and pull the key out.
