Question.....actually, a bunch of them
Where can I purchase the remus exhaust, and what is a reasonable price to pay? Is this exhaust comparable to others (ie. APR) in performance gain? I assume this i s a whole exhaust, and not just a muffler, is this correct? Does the kit include everything? I've heard talk of some kits not coming with a down pipe (don;t know much about this, any explaination would be helpful), and that needs to be purchased separately. BTW, how important is the diwn pipe, performance wise?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Downpipe is...
The main exhaust tube that comes off of the cat, which is bolted to the exhaust side of the turbo (on the 1.8). Look in the engine bay, and you'll see the ehaust pipe lead down under the car. That's the downpipe.
It's the main restrictor, if you've put on an aftermarket pipe without replacing this one. Most aftermarket pipes go bigger than stock (2.25" to 2.75, even 3"), and if you keep the stock downpipe (2"), then you are choking down the volume/exhaust flow at that point.

Does changing the downpipe have any impact on emission level?
Actually what kind of mod changes the emission level? The only one that I know of is taking out the cat. The APR stage 3+ kit includes a free flow cat, would that bump up the emission level?
