Default question on changing color after order

I placed an order on Nov 16th for a black A4, but i decided blue is better so i called on Dec 4th to ask for a color change. my sales just got back to me and said the car is already in production and it has a ETA of Feb 11th. does this sound right? i saw an old post in the forum stating that color can usually be changed within 2-4 weeks of order.

Default you put a deposit down on the car you ordered right? well it's refundable no? ask for your money

back if they can't get the color changed for you.

is that OK to do? they just took my credit card number and i know they haven't charge anything to it.

Is it acceptable to back out?

I don't want to be depressed for the next several year because the color is not really what i want but i also don't want to do something wrong to the dealer. I'm not sure about the term on refund deposit.

Default check the paperwork you signed. btw black is a great color =)

if the paperwork doesn't say non-refundable, then you should be ok. unless you ordered a rare(unwanted color) in the options that ppl don't want i'd think the dealership wouldn't mind. Black is a very easy to sell color.

most dealerships would understand.

there are too many blacks on the street. especially a lot of black A6.

this car is a CVT, which is probably not that easy to sell in the north. other than that, it's pretty standard.

the silver paint uses special molecular high-speed bonding agents that decrease wind drag.

Check with the B6 forum also if you haven't already, those guys will have the most recent experiences buying from the dealer. maybe one of them has had this problem recently.
