So the fact that I just went from my 15" winter wheels to 17" summer wheels probably doesn't help?

Default The car seems to run smoothly, I guess I'm just more worried that something isn't right fuel-system

wise. Time for new spark plugs, K&N air filter, and Seafoam. :-)

Default Just read your original post...

Frankly, my experience with my chipped 2000 A4 was the same as yours. I had it from new up to 48K miles when I sold it. I had about the same mix of city and highway driving, and I had 17" 225 wide high performance tires on it. I got exactly the same mileage...23 on avg, and I wasn a pretty conservative driver most of the time. Nothing was wrong with the car, and I'm quite certain you have nothing to worry about if your only concern is the mileage.

Now, if I got it on the highway and set the cruise, I could squeak out 30-31 mpg, but it's rare that I would use the cruise control, so most highway trips left me about 28 mpg.

Default Well mine had 15" wheels on it this entire time, I just put the summer wheels on 2 days ago. It was

at 23.0 for that whole time. Without the 17's. Thanks for the input.

Default Still well within the realm of reason.

The difference between the 15's and 17's is probably 1-1.5 mpg if all else is equal.
