question....is the snub mount 1 piece or 2?

cuz the one i got is just one piece...but in all the pix...i see it split into 2. wat gives

whew...i was kinda scared there....i already blew 50 bucks for some stupid plastic donut

i didnt' want to have to get another one (this one's too old to return)
