Question for teh Stg III owners....

Re: Question for teh Stg III owners....
I wonder why the PES kit came with a larger MAF? According to them, the stock MAF is maxed out at higher RPMs and inefficiant. Makes sense, but what do I know?

The AEB MAF/ECU has a 5volt limit. APR chose to put a resistor on the ECU to allow the MAF to 'read'
the added flow. They then scale the look up table accordingly.
PES chose to use a MAF housing with a larger diameter at the MAS(stock MAS inside) and adjust the look up table to account for the 'unmetered air' that is injested outside of the MAS flow area. The PES MAF reduces to ~stock diameter just after the sensor area. Two ways of dealing with the same 5 volt limit ... both account for the added airflow in the fueling maps.
At the flows provided by the GT28r and the T28 (PES) the OE MAF housing isn't the restriction in the intake path.

Anyone have the part # for a MAF from a 99.5 (n-dbw) or any other identifying information for order?
