Default Questions about Audi-Assured Used Car Warranty

Are the following covered?

1) Squeaking drivers seat
2) Coating chipping off heated side view mirrors
3) Resolving wind noise issues

From my experience what is covered by the Audi Assured warranty depends on the person at the counter when the car is dropped off. Nobody wants to give a straight answer as to what is "officially covered". I call AoA and they tell me to talk to the dealer. The dealer doesn't have any official paperwork detailing what is covered.

Frustrating...

Default The dealer DOES have paperwork telling them what is covered.

Here's how I think it works...
The dealer has a manual that gives them all the repair codes. When a bill is submitted to AoA for warranty work, it must be accompanied by a code. That code resides in a book, which your service manager should have. That book should also detail what is or is not covered.

To my knowledge, all three issues you mentioned should be covered.

I'm not sure there's much they'll be willing to do about "wind noise issues"

Tech's don't enter service codes. Talk to the service advisor or manager.

Default Everything but the wind noise should be covered. The noise has probably been preasent since new.

Last time i dropped my car off I had a list of about 10 things for them to fix. One was the LK recall and i told him to call me if the others were not covered. They covered everything.

They get paid alot to do warranty work so they should be eager to do it. They don't want to tell you somthing is covered if they are not sure. AOA won't pay and they already told you it's covered. Then they either look ****ty or pick up the check.

So you have to understand the reluctance to commit.

Default *shrug* I have an appt. to have a laundry list of things fixed on my S4.

One of them is a wind leak at >80mph from the drivers door. I told them exactly where it's coming from, and exactly what needs to be "fixed". Service manager said "no problem!", and added it to the list of things to correct.

There is a TSB for wind noise from outside mirrors.

Default Thats awsome! why is it they refuse to acknowledge the control arm problem but other things are no

problem? Of course its probably a lot cheaper to fix the wind noise.
