I bought my A4 at the end of the lease and paid for the Audi Assured warranty. I've had a seat issue ever since I owned the car. For the first 3 years it rocked/shifted slightly forward when I would come to a stop. I finally demanded it be fixed & the tracks were replaced.
After it was fixed, I asked what would happen when the car entered its Assured portion of the warranty & I had similar issues. I was told that since it was worked on before, it would be covered. Now it creaks and has a slight lateral movement. I plan on revisiting the issue...
That was my long-winded reply- check to see if it's been worked on before & use this as more proof that it's a workmanship issue.

So after all this they called up and said everything was covered. They must read AW ;-)
