Does it become dry or crack like the real leather when it gets old? What is the best cleaner/conditioner I can use to prevent that?<p>WayneRx

...I'd recommend doing the leatherette seats with Lexol Vinylex with the same frequency that one does their dash or their leather seats (like every month at least). The Lexol will refresh the vinyl and put a UV protector on.

I just had my hairline cracks in my seat bottom side bolster inspected by our area Audi rep. Audi will replace my bottom cushion seat cover. (Thank you Audi!) I asked him whether this was unusual or not. He said essentially that this is very rare for the leatherette seat, and he commented that leather would be more prone to cracking if it wasn't treated regularly.
