questions about oil change and transmission flush

questions about oil change and transmission flush
2000 A4 1.8T Q M 59000km
I am going to my first oil change next week. since there are so many choice around, make me donot konw where to go...help!!!
I called a local(toronto) independent workshop, they specialize on VM Audi. they told me that:Bring my own oil, they have filter and labour CND$38+tax. and they have Amsoil oil For CND$100+tax each time, engine flush is included in first oil change. I asked about change oil for transmission, they say, "if you do oil change for transmision with the oil change, and you bring you own oil, that;s CND$180.
After call Audi dealer near me, they say oil change for CND$70+tax, they have everything,but not sythetic oil. they say my car donot have to use sythetic. and They told me "you never change oil for transmission, if it not smooth when shift, something else have problem, never change oil for transmission,never!"
This is what I got ,,I am really really looking for advice!!! Thanks guys!!!

Most here use synthetic oil in their engines. Amsoil is excellent oil as is Mobil One. The dealer is
telling you the the truth about Audi's position on the transmission oil. VAG does say the transmission oil is 'life time' and it is a very good oil. I however, am a believer in changing the transmission fluid at 60k mile intervals and use NEO synthetic but fresh factory or Redline is also good. The independent shops fee for changing the transmission oil strikes me as very steep.
