Default questions about Rieger RS4 Bumper ...

The bodyshop that would be installing it said that it had some issues with it. Something about preparing it to paint is very costly or something.
Is this true, or are they just mistaken?

Also what does the RS4 bumper come - ie any grills (or would I have to supply my own)?

Finally, where is the best place to order it and receive it quickly? So far I only know of Lltek and RPI Tuning.

Thanks..

Default I did mine through lltek prepainted. It is really cheap to have them paint it.

Also, buy the grilles through them. i suggest the large mesh because it matches the rs4 grille very well. The grilles are like $30 bucks.

I have heard complaints of the quality of the prepainting from lltek, were you satisfied?

Default Stay away from a knock-off - the prep is a killer. Go OEM & live happily ever after (more)...

Contact Achtuning for an OE RS4 bumper shipped complete w/ all grills, fogs, wiring, bracketry, etc. for a paltry $1,250.00. Besides a tad of creative fitting at the fenders, there's zero prep work besides what a normal A4/S4 bumper cover would require - de-gloss, prime, seal, paint, etc. The Reiger cover is a P.O.S. - a fitter's nightmare. The additional labor to properly prep & fit the Reiger won't make it that much more affordable in the end. Good luck.

Click for Achtuning's home page.

True there is no substitute for oem. Many people are satisfied with the rieger one though.

how much $$ is the prep going to cost? less than the cost of OEM? what's the major difference?
