Default Quick question about 235 tires

I have searched and done reasearch and ordered 235 45 17 tires for my new BBS VZ's 17x8. TireRack just called and said it will rub on the front suspention, especially when I lower it with the Koni Coil Overs I also just ordered. Eddie had said that the only rubbing may occure on the lip, which rolling can eliminate. Whats the deal here? is it the lip or suspention....I'm pretty sure I'm ok here, but want to make sure. By the way it's a 99.5 2.8 QM

Default If the offset is too large (i.e less than 32mm)

than the wheels will be too close to the suspension and that will cause rubbing. Also, depending on the suspension which may be larger in diameter, it could contribute to rubbing as well.

Default Offset is the same as mine.

And I have 18x8.5s as well as 235/40/18 tires and no suspension rubbing. I had my fenders rolled too. I don't have Koni COs though so I couldn't tell you about possible rubbing. I'm running Neuspeed Sport Springs and grooved Bilsteins.

235/40/17, not 235/45/17.

I'm off too using 235/40/18 but it's worth the extra rim protection IMO.
