Default Quick question about throttle body adaption

I was just reading the acrhieves and read a few posts that said you can't really do it wiht out a vag tool is this true? i thought u could just unplug the ECU plug it back in let it sit for a few mins and it would do it that way.

ok thanks, wasnt sure if it would work with out a vag tool

I could never get it to adapt properly manually. Only via VAG for me.
