....new. Not all tires are less sticky when bald. Some are even more sticky. When I auto-Xed some of the tires were made to be very sticky in this condition. New tires can be very slippery untill the are scuffed in. Like I said too many variables.
I assumed same everything except contact area and quite a bit of difference there depending on tire brand/type. I also assumed no ABS.

I'll also assume that its all rubber, no plies showing!
A slick tire has the maximum footprint for its width and diameter.
More footprint, more friction, shorter stopping.

they are Pirelli P7000 summer treads. the ABS is not disconnected in any way, however, despite this, the car skidded. this is just a hypothetical question...if the tires on my car were brand new, i would have stopped with shorter marks, correct?
