Default Quick questions about Differential Maintenance

How often do you guys change the fluid in the Differential's?

What is the average life (miles) of the seals on the differential?

My rear differential appears to have a very small leak, nothing that drips on the ground. Probably not worth replacing them yet is my guess. The car has 135,000 miles. Whats your guys opinions? Change the seals or leave it alone?

Change the fluid and leave it alone for now. Fluid maybe every 45-60,000 miles.

Default I'd replace the seal and change the fluid. I base the interval on the condition of the fluid.

For the diffs, I'd go around 90-100k. The factory oil is good quality synthetic, and it's under very little stress and not subject to the contaminents that engine oil is. For an auto trans, I'd go around 75k then change the fluid and filter - no flushing.

Default Change both seals and replace the fluid.

You need a triple square socket for the drain plug, and it's good to have the Audi seal driver tool as well:
