Quickest Way to 0-60 with 5-Speed

I've got a 2001 A4 1.8T with 5-speed, not chipped yet. Any recommendations for shift points to obtain quickest 0-60 time? I've only had it two months and never really gave it a workout. Also, how many RPM's before I pop the clutch in 1st gear? Just wondering.

Some say that 3000rpm gets the best launch, one thing you have to feather out the clutch or oyu bog down. I have that stock the power settles down around 5600 rpm so no need to get to red line.

Personally, I don't like abusing the clutch, so I won't pop the clutch. Shift points are usually around 5.5K rpms...after that the engine starts to run out of steam, and you're actually driving slower.

and shift around 5500-5700RPM, and make your shifts FAST, do NOT push the clutch in all the way, or even most of the way, take it out of gear w/o clutch(just as u let off the gas), and just use enough of the clutch to throw it into 2nd/3rd...
oh, and whatever you do, DON'T dump the clutch from like 1/2 way in on the 1-2 or 2-3 shift, the thud you will feel/hear is not good for the drivetrain(but can briefly break the front tires loose in the rain on a chip'd car)

It puts you in a better place on the powerband...almost like 'seamless' acceleration. This is due to the (oft-debated) shift in the valve timing at 5300 rpm or so...pre-01 cars make NO power after 55-5700 rpm, so you are just wasting your time by revving above that.
Using the patented 'rev the snot outta it' method described above allows my stock 01 to remain even (more or less) with my friend's chipped 00...until, of course, I get MY chip;-)

I forgot to mention it's a Quattro. I think Audi says the 2001 can do 0-60 in about 7.8 seconds with the 5 speed ... and I think my car actually does that or slightly better (as compared to my Olds Aurora that I just unloaded). If I chip the car to 1.0 BAR design, how much quicker would it get??? Can I get it to 6.5 seconds or better?
