of an amp, and speakers on the rear doors, plus 6.5" subs on the rear deck in place of the 6.5" 2 ways. The amp is located in the trunk.

The head units are the same. How can they sound any different? Did I mention the head units are the same?

however, when that wires is grounded and the display shows "BOSE", the amp inside the head unit turns off the front speakers (fronts are powered by the head unit without Bose system) so that they can be powered by the bose amp. The grounded wire and "BOSE" display also change the signal level of the rear line-outs so they too can be powered by the Bose amp (rears are powered by a smaller amp without Bose system).
