for laser, the cop has to be basicly in front you, so, look for goofy looking cops standing on the road side or sitting in cars with the windows down looking through a funny looking scope.
my 8500 has saved me once from laser.. there was an overpass in front of me, and a curve after the overpass.. they was a cop sitting in an unmarked car on the curve and my laser warning went off before I could see him.. slowed down, and all was good.
another time, (i never saw him) but he said he was standing on the overpass and got me, and it never went off.
