Thanks for the advice. I have not done anything with the radio whatsoever. Not sure how that could happen.

If could be a short in the wiring somewhere. If you just disconnect that wire on the back...
of the radio you can then rule out the radio being defective. Do you have the jack in the arm rest for phone hookup? I don't have the wiring diagram, but it could be possible that that is shorted, or something stuck in there. Start with the back of the radio before you spend a whole lot of time looking.

One interesting thing that is happening with my radio is, when the key is on the first position (on), the radio works, when I turn the key to the next position (acc), the radio cuts out and displays phone.
