the Evo drives completely different, like a real performance car, the S4 is still way too plush, way too soft in the corners, and has no steering feedback or handling ability in comparo. Plus by the time you get an S4 to perform anywhere near the level of a stock Evo you have spent a LOT of money. 4k in the evo gets you 450hp 450 ft lbs.
I want raw performance in a gorgeous shell.

It's true that Prodrive does build the WRC cars, but they use stock STi's to do it. WRC is one of the few racing series' that uses substantial components from the factory cars. The 2.0 liter flat four in the WRC Subaru is basically the same engine in my car.
By the way, if you claim the Audi R8 Le Mans car, I'm gonna scream.
psycho

that's about where the similarity ends. They are NOT the same engine (that would be the Euro/Japanese spec engine IIRC). Yeah, they use the stock body shell, which is stripped, seam welded, safety cages welded in, etc.. the suspension uses the same pickup points, but is far from the same as yours. The transmission in a WRC car probably costs as much as your car.
Some of the lower classes run basically production cars, but the WRC cars are not 100% production cars.
What does the R8 have to do with this discussion? that is a full blown race car, not intended in any way to resemble a production car.
