the rattle part II: it's out there!

well, if it's related to applying throttle then it still could be the exhaust....
pressing on the throttle increases flow through the exhaust and overall vibration of the exhaust.
Have you tried listening for it from outside the car while somebody else applied the throttle (in neutral)?

Can you reproduce the rattle sitting in the driver's seat, by any means?
If you CAN hear it inside the car, and your assistant can NOT hear it outside the car (front, back, side, bottom, top,etc.. ) at the same exact time.. I have no idea... Maybe something came loose inside the dash..

hmmmm...
did you try with the hood up? did you bend down and listen directly under the car? If not try both of those.
If you did and really can't hear it outside the car and only inside then I really have no idea. Like Kris Hansen said, maybe something in the dash, but I don't see how that could be related to acceleration.
Are you sure you didn't just forget to take your medication this week? j/k =)

Re: hmmmm...
I did all of that.
BTW I don't use any medication, but it could be the loose bolts I swallowed when I was a kid ;-)
Well I'm sort of stuck with the rattle. Maybe I;ll take it to the garage and pay $200 for them to say that they can't find anything but looked for hours.
Thanks for your help Clout.
