My car has only 2000 miles and already is developing some bad characteristics. The driver's door has a strange slight rattle when I drive over bumps; it almost sounds like it fits too tightly and when the body flexes over a bump friction between the body and door seals makes noise. It is extremely annoying. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it normal?
Also when I launch the car from a standstill I get a bit of a vibration all through the car (enough so that you can hear the change in the ashtray rattle around) unless I give it lots of gas and launch fast. Is this normal?
Other than that, I love the car. Oh, except for the soft windsheild; it's got about a four inch crack from a tiny tiny rock that probably couldn't have broken through a paper towel.

For a temporary fix, use any tire dressing on all the seals (the ones on the door and the car) and it should go away.

Tire dressing? What is that?

Does anyone have a link to the TSB? I would like to have a copy if the dealer doesn't want to fix it under warranty.

Our 2000 1.8t Avant has had the front door top of windowframe seal "skrinch" sound since day one on both drivers and passenger side. Had dealer readjust window frame angle twice, but it just came back. Going back in on Wednedsay for 10k service, will push them to DO SOMETHING! A frustrating thing on an otherwise wonderful car. Will post if they get it fixed.

Note: I've been able to recreate the sound by pushing on the top rear corner of the window frame--usefull when explaining to dealer.
