Rattling/knocking sound when accelerating
I noticed this sound for a while, when i gas the car i hear a knocking/rattling sound from the back, usually when i gas it to high RPM, it sounds like my exhaust is maybe touching a part of the car, but i checked and its firmly on and no movement. Anyone know what else it could be? It is getting a lot more annoying now that i keep noticing it.

I had a testpipe and took it out for smog, have stock Cat on, but still made the noise even with TP
I had the TP and then replaced it with my cat for SMOG, but even when i had the TP it still made the sound. I have a stock exhaust setup for now.

well the place that i'd suspect it'd be hitting is up near the passenger side
just aft of the downpipe... there is a bend there and sometimes that rattles.
You need to check the exhaust by crawling underneath and moving it at a bunch of different locations, not just the tip.

It also might expand enough when hot to touch in a place that it doesn't when cold.
I remember hearing someone say that their exhaust would "move" nearly 2" when it was at temperature. I'm not sure if I believe that it expands that much, but I guess it's possible.

Check this out.. It's the first thing that came to mind (I'm also hunting down-
a similar problem on my other A4)
