Default rca output from symphony head unit...

I finally hook up my system....added an amp to power subs and replaced the rear speakers. The front speakers are powered by the head unit and the sub and rear speakers are powered by the amp. I used the blaupunkt adapter and followed the install as seen in John's Audi TT-running rca's from the head unit.
The sound quality of the rear speakers sound like crap especially at low volume level. The sub seems to sound o.k., with lots of bass. Fronts still sound like factory.
Could there be a problem with the rca signal coming out of the deck? I know the head unit has common ground for outputs which is not necessarily great for sound quality but i feel it just sounds like crap and distorted! What could be wrong? TIA.

Ed

Default May I ask why you're powering your rear speakers with the amp instead of the fronts?

I may be wrong, but usually, being the driver, you want the sharp crisp sound up front where you sit.

What speakers did you replace the rears with?

Default You could be right..

Depending on the speakers(Brand,RMS and frequency response) hes using, maybe he shouldnt be powering the speakers with the amp.
