Default Readiness codes. They were all good/green/passed and then

I cleared a code that I self induced while cleaning the throttle valve and found them all reset. I guess this is normal.

Now after a month of driving the car in all conditions all are back to passing except that the the evaporative emissions still shows failed or incomplete. What is that exactly? Does that mean cats are going?

Car, a 30V, drives great BTW and gets on avg 310 miles tank pure city and 400+ highway...

Default EVAP /= Cats. Completely different

Evap system means fuel. Gas cap is the most common issue.

Default *edit* so I should switch caps with my other car and see if it goes away I guess...

Should it go away instantly if it is the cap causing that?

*edit*
switched caps then looked at readiness when cold and when car was 100% up to temp and didn't make a difference. Note I din't have any CELs nor do I now. Any other ideas or things to check?

Clear the codes... You always have to clear the codes and see if the problem persists.

Default Car needs to be driven under specific conditions to meet readiness codes

You may not have hit the right mix of temps, throttle, drive time, etc. for the ECU to adequately test out that part of the system. Only fix is to keep driving.

FWIW, I believe most states will allow one readiness code to be 'not ready' and still pass emissions.

Default So you are trying to fix a problem that doesn't exist?

Should take a while.

Force the monitors to set. If there is an issue it will set a code,if not it will pass.

Default always ;-)

ha ha, so I read that in like 3 days of varied driving they should be back passing more or less.

I haven't really driven in warm weather but I've done almost every kind of driving you can imagine in the last month including an ECU shutdown or two or three...

Default no such thing as emissions testing here just wondering why it has not went to passing

when I read that should only take a few days of varied driving. That is all...

Default What is an ECU shutdown?

If you disconnect the ECU, or pull power, it will need to run monitors all over again.
