Default Rear brake pads? Question??

Why did my rear brake pads wear down so quickly? I have a 99.5 A4 with around 33000 miles on it. Started getting some squeak last week, and took a look at the front pads, they were fine. I then had a look at the rear, and they are all but gone. Is this normal? i've never owned a car before that had rear discs so I didn't expect this. Anyone else had similar experiences?

Default Mine wore down in 10k, but my calapers were sticking...could be your problem too.

Default I have 90K on the original rear pads

I got 70K on the fronts before they were replaced.
