Default rear deck sub install

Has anyone installed a sub on the rear deck of their car? or if not, where have you put subs to consolidate space?

Default you mean, under the rear deck? .... -->

It leaves you all the floor space, but it's still kinda in the way of large cargo...

Default JL Audio sells a custom box that holds 2 8" infinite baffle subs

that attach under your rear deck with removal of deck speakers. From what I heard they do happen to sound good.

well, it's a Basslink, so it doesn't have that much power - it's a 200W Class D amp.

But, all I wanted was to add some nice low end to my stock stereo, and that I accomplished successfully. I only crank it up to about 25% and I can easily feel the bass in my whole body.

I thought I'd get more bass if I open up the center armrest hole, but it didn't seem to make a difference. As it is, the bass is plenty. It's a 10-inch driver with a 10-inch passive radiator.

Default thanks, read on.......

good idea, I will check it out.......
I did really mean to cut out a hole in the top of the rear deck, and use the trunk as my "box" I don't know if that is possible

Default

I'm not sure if the trunk is sealed well enough to serve as a sub enclosure, but maybe.
