Rear-facing infant car seat: what fits?
I've scoured the archives and can't find a specific answer to this one. Can anyone save me some time and recommend a brand and model for a rear-facing infant car seat?
I'm 6'3" and am hoping to put the rear-facing seat in the middle of the back seat. Is this a pipe dream?
Alternatively, what fits beind the passenger seat without making that seat unusable?
Thanks in advance!

Few. I had the hardest time fitting the rear facing seat in the sedan, the Avant seems to have more
room in the back seat. Either way, the passenger seat is nearly all the way forward and streight up. Putting it in the middle is not going to work (at least the seat I had did not fit there.)
We had the king with the flip up handle, and then the 'convertible' type. Neither fit terribly well in rearward facing.

How long until you go front? @~20lbs
When I test drove an A4 I had a rear-facing and had about 2 inches, but I am 5-8. Got a front facing, the Eddie Bauer one, it faces rear from 5 to 20 lbs and front from 20 to 45lbs. Got it at target. It is not as safe to put it on one side, so it's gotta be in the middle.

Here's a thread from a few weeks ago...
If you're 6'3" you may have trouble with
all of them.
I'm 5'10" and can just make it work.

Evenflo "On My Way"...
It fits extremely well, only thing is to make sure the handle is in the upright position when in the car (as it will be when you insert it into the base).
The base is great - simply plug the carrier into the base and take off, no fumbling to run the lap belt all the time. One tip - get a foam pad made for going under sleeping bags, and use between the base and the seat, with extra to run up the seat back - it'll preserve your seat material from wearing/chafing. Additionally, it will hepl keep the carseat in place even better.
