Default Rear passenger seatbelt rattle

I have am annoying rattle coming from the inside rear of the car. I am certain that the sound is originating from the passenger side rear seat belt thing because if I push down on it a little before I drive, it does not start rattling until a little while later. It's the pivoting plastic piece for the rear seatbelt. I tried stuffing things in it but no such luck in stopping the rattle. I am hoping someone else has the fix to this problem. Any advice or assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks

Bryan

maybe if your rear passenger was wearing their seatbelt it wouldn't rattle =P

Default I fixed mine...

let's go to the picture...

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/14019/rear_deck_fix.jpg">
This is what you need.

1. 3 hex nut (I think they are 3/8")

2. 3 flat-head bolt

3. a long neck 3/8" socket

You first replace the plastic clips with the bolts (2). So make sure you find bolts with heads that can fit in the rear deck anchor.

Then reinstall the rear deck.

Here comes the hard part. You have get the hex nut (1) to go on the bolt (2) from underside of the deck. (Through holes) I used a pair a needle nose plier to put on ones on the side. The one in the middle is a major pain. I have to use a magnet pick-up, plus both of my hands to get the nut mounted. (you might not want to replace the middle plastic clip at all. This will save you a lot of time!)

After hand tightening these nuts to the bolts. Just use the long neck socket to tighten them a little more and you are set.
