Default Rear Right Speaker Static Noise?

Okay so my B5 (2.8 quattro) has a slight problem with the sound system...my rear right speaker is making a static noise and its is constant is it possible the speaker is blown? I also recently wired an aftermarket amp to the stock amp, is it possible i messed up the wire for that speaker? its a deck speaker. Suggestions? I'm thinking of just disconnecting it...

Try hooking it up to another speaker and see if it goes away, grab a speaker from the house if you have to.You should be able to pinpoint it that way.

The center plastic cone has come off (if this is one of the rear mounted subs). Happens to me all the time. Pull the seat side guards, child seat anchor, lift the molding (gently) and remove the speaker. After, glue gun the speaker cone back in place. I have to do this once a year. Latest time, I used a tube of clear silicone calking for kitchen/bathroom. Seems to hold well. Those speakers are exccpensive to replace last time I checked.
