Anyone have this done? I was underneath the car while it was on the lift and noticed a bit of grease around the differential area and rear axle. A DIY or easier to let a shop do it?

Very common on VW's and Audis. Nothing to worrry about until it reaches "Level 2", which means it's actually dripping. Keep an eye out in your driveway or garage for oil stains. Then you'll need to repair it. But a "Level 1" leak can literally last for years before it gets worse. Or it can last a week. Keep an eye on it.
