Default Is it reasonable to expect corrosion free APR exhaust tips?

I just noticed that my exhaust tips seem to be corroding. Is this the stainless steel or some kind of chrome plating that they put on? and is this reasonable wear and tear?? or should I speak to APR??

most companies do not warranty the tips - its up to you to maintain them

I would think continued exposure to road salts will do that to any stainless steel.
