Default Uhh, yeah...

"22-AWD - Purely Mechanical!
The quattro system in these cars is purely mechanical, no electronics at all. This address is used by the Haldex system used in transverse-engine cars like the TT, the A3, and various Golf/Bora models."<ul><li><a href="http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/cars/audiB5.html">From the VAG-COM Website</a></li></ul>

Default Uhhh, no. (a-4cefed, look at chart here for correct coding)

Even though it's mechanical, the cars were coded differently. here's a chart for 97-99.5 ecu soft coding

Default That chart does not apply to a chipped car. The code I posted was posted by another old timer

and can be confirmed via the archives.

The quattro coding does not matter since its purely mechanical.

BTW, that's the code I copied and pasted from my VAG-COM scan log.

Default Dude.. you don't know what you're talking about. Soft coding is not chip dependent.

Trust me, an old timer that has done countless recoding.

The code you spouted is for fwd with no ASR and automatic tranny. Great if that's what you have.

Default yap, some ECUs are just picky about the codes

I had a ecu from a manual car that would simply not take any tip codes. Ended up selling the ECU to a manual car owner and bought another one.
