Default i have seen some info indicating synthetic oil is not suitable for gear lubrication....

while it works well in a pump fed system like an engine. it's low friction doesn't splash well so the upper part of a gearbox may not get sufficient lube.

Default Look asshol*, I just pointed him to someone who has experience not opinions!

And opinions are like *******s, everyone has at least one.

Experience is not something everyone has.

So take a friggin break oilboy.

That was not meant for you, it was directed to someone who had a more open mind.

Default Well, it was posted as a response to me.You seem frustrated & confused, "must call StasiS", lol.

Thinking some guy needs to call a race prep tuner before he changes diff oil is downright OCD/stupid.

Default Not all of them. Certinaly not G 052 726 A2, 75w-90 GL-4.

Diff lube is not rocket science, it's in fact the simplest feat of Audi ownership. G-5 is the spec and suitable lube can be found at a hardware store. I stand by the DuraBlend recommendation. Splash it with 90w-140 if heavily modded.

http://theoildrop.server101.com/forums/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=699549&an=0& page=0#Post699549</a
