Regarding my S4 "order"

all I'm saying is that to require me to order my car before the price is determined is not going to fly. I really don't care about knowing the price now, I just won't order mine until I get it. Take your time, Audi. Test the waters, because for certain I would do the same. I said price is where supply and demand meet. I don't want to fight the equilibrium, I just don't want to play while it's in flux. Vik is right about "never make the first offer", so I'm not. I will wait for Audi and then place my order if I like what I see.

I was hoping to generate some strong public opinion in a very small market segment (only a few thousand S4's will likely make it to North America) and you guys are happy to sit back and play the "Negotiating for Dummies" game. Very well. I give up.
I was thinking that this would be the perfect forum to get some strong anti-price-gouging opinions but you seem resigned to have the dealers call the shots. Wouldn't it have been nice to be in a position of power like those Cavalier and Taurus buyers?! I envy them not for their cars but for the fact that they can drive out of the dealerships at $200 over invoice. And No! I don't want to drive a Chevy or Ford so don't suggest I go Bob's Car World!
I had to try. Thanks for the opportunity to rant.
