I doubt it was the Swiss plates. Probably the American driving style
It's been a few years since I've driven on the Autobahn, so it's possible the Germans have become less disciplined. However, you were following American rules.
> For lounging around the left lane at only 225kph
The left lane is for passing only. Not for cruising, even at 225 KPH.
> Someone in a 512BB came flying by us (on the right)
Passing on the right is illegal (as it mostly is here where no one obeys that law). Most Germans will only resort to it only if they've flashed their lights several times and you haven't moved over. Were you checking your mirror regularly to see if anyone was gaining on you and flashing lights?
> The 450 pulled up on my bumper, flashed the high beams
I believe when the lights are flashed, German law requires you to move over immediately. German drivers interpret that as NOW, not at your leisure.
That having been said, he was an idiot for touching your bumper. He was probably mad as heck, and not without cause.
Did he touch his finger to his head as he went by? <grin>

Don't think so...

Oh really?

I suppose. The road was very quiet at that time, but perhaps you're right.

Nope, he was in the right lane and remained in the right lane as he flew by. Even had German plates.

This all happened within 10 seconds. Does NOW mean within 10 seconds?

Heh, I didn't see him very well as he went by. I was too astonished that he'd nudged us. 8-)
Cheers,

MAS MGRs - they were sold by Discount Tire but now they switched to Volt

MAS called them Presidents but MAS went backrupt. The Design came from Kahn who also makes them.

You have to have dust - or there is no braking being done - it is not significant
I can go a couple of weeks without cleaning and it barly shows. The OEM pads would result in my needing to clean the wheel with just one trip to Starbucks.
The initial feel on pushing the pedal is sort of soft - but not much and the braking is still the same - just the initial bite.
